Every Charity:/Advance comes with 20 free email boxes included, all with a variety of features and options. Some of these options can seem a bit confusing at first but please call us if anything here is unclear. We're here to help.
By grouping mailboxes under a central account per Charity:/Advance, we create a central point of administration. Several sites can be grouped together if more convenient. Customers can administrate their own accounts in a secure ‘sandbox'.
This enables you to create aliases that point to existing mailboxes and accounts can have multiple domains associated with them.
All account management at any level is controlled from our easy, fast Control Panel web site, http://admin.charityadvance.net .
Every mailbox we set up is available immediately. There is no need to call or wait. Of course, the Internet can cause its own delays while domain name server records update.
All users get access to our webmail application at http://webmail.charityadvance.net free of charge. Alternatively you may wish to use a mail client such as Outlook; the details you should use are pop3.charityadvance.net and smtp.charityadvance.net. You could even, given the right settings, do both!
The usual POP3 is part of the package. IMAP is an extra service. This allows centralised storage of emails on the server, so if you access your mailbox from anywhere, the same Inbox is presented. Ideal for people constantly on the move.
Powerful anti-spam filters protect users silently. Users can adjust the ‘sensitivity' of anti-spam filters to their liking.
Anti-virus filters are also available as an extra. Once again, these protect users silently. Users can view quarantined mails in their control panel (or via IMAP if ordered.).
You can control who can or cannot email you. White-listed email addresses or domains always bypass spam detection and blacklisted addresses are always blocked.
Consolidate existing email accounts into one mailbox. Our FetchMail service allows users to add up to 5 external POP3mailboxes. We retrieve email from these accounts once every five minutes and move it into their Charity:/Advance mailbox.
This is a server-based ‘out of office' service. It will reply to each unique sender with a message of your choosing whilst you're away.
If you need to temporarily receive mail at another account, this is easily done in the Control Panel.
